HOH Baby House

Haven of Hope Baby Center is located in Nakuru, Kenya and was founded for the purpose of providing a safe, loving and Christ-centered home for orphaned and abandoned babies in Kenya. Though there are many children's homes and orphanages in Kenya, there are very few who accept infants due to the high cost of providing care for these little ones. HOH Baby Center takes the smallest, most vulnerable of babies and nurtures them into strong, healthy children. HOH offers our babies a nurturing, family-like environment. We intend to keep a low number of babies at Haven of Hope so that it maintains the feel of a home rather than an institution. We provide each baby with one-on-one individual love and care in order to stimulate and promote physical and emotional growth and development.  Haven of Hope acts as a transition home for babies in need from birth to approximately three years of age. Each case is determined on an individual basis, but it is our hope that they will transition into one of the following subsequent placements, (1) reunification into their biological families, (2) adoptive families (Kenyan nationals), or (3) another family-like group home with which the Director, Trena Ivy, has a personal relationship.
